Dollar Store DIY: Primitive Pumpkins

Dollar Store DIY: Primitive Pumpkins

I couldn’t resist these plastic dollar store pumpkins for the kids, but once I got them home, I realized it was easy to turn them primitive with some cinnamon and glue.

To turn a shiny dollar store pumpkin into a primitive work of art you’ll need:
-Mod Podge or Elmer’s Glue
-Cinnamon
-Gold Acrylic Paint
-Spray sealer (if desired)

1. Coat the outside of the pumpkin with mod podge or elmers glue
2. Dust liberally with cinnamon
3. Carefully paint the insides of the eyes and mouth with gold paint
4. Let dry, then spray lightly with sealer if desired.
